Three principles guide every decision we make: build mastery, never leak answers, and do no harm. This is what they look like in the product.
Teaches, doesn't tell
Saga withholds the answer on purpose. It asks questions, gives graded hints, and coaches the next step. And when words aren't enough, it points: highlighting the exact part of a diagram it means, without ever drawing the answer.
Built for mastery, measured
A step counts as done only when the student can redo it unaided. Every lesson has a before and after check, so learning gain is measured rather than assumed.
Mapped to your curriculum
Lessons align to real standards across maths and science. Saga can show a teacher exactly which objectives are covered, and in what order they build on each other.
Prerequisite-aware remediation
When a student struggles, Saga traces the gap back to its foundations and points both the student and the teacher to the earlier lesson worth revisiting first.
Notices when you're stuck
A good tutor doesn't wait to be asked. If a student goes quiet mid-problem, Saga checks in once, gently, and invites the smallest next step. One check-in per step, and never a nag.
Shows you what you built
Answers are earned, then seen. Once a student masters a step, Saga reveals the finished picture: the point plotted, the diagram completed. Understanding first, then the payoff.
Reads aloud, privately
Every message can be spoken aloud for students who learn best by listening. By default the voice runs on the device itself, so nothing is sent anywhere to be spoken. A school can opt into a more natural cloud voice, which only ever synthesises the tutor's words, never a student's voice or data.
Teacher-in-the-loop
Saga gives teachers time and insight back: curriculum coverage, progress, and a coaching view of each student. Teachers stay fully in control.

We're clear about what Saga does and what it doesn't. No inflated claims, just a tutor that behaves the way good teaching should, every time.
